Helping you heal from trauma
As a former paramedic, I know firsthand the impact trauma can have on your life and functioning. That is why I became a therapist - to provide real help using evidence-based techniques.
You don’t have to figure this out on your own — help is available.
I offer a 20 minute call so you can decide if my services can help you face your challenges. Let’s get you feeling better. Click on initial consultation to book. Free, no commitment.
Who I Support
Teens (12–17): If you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, unsure what’s next, we can work together to figure things out. We chat about things, can go for a walk or draw/ paint emotions.
Young Adults (18–25): This can be a time of transitions, relationship changes, anxiety, and figuring out your next steps. We can work together to explore some of your habits, what you want to change and help you develop tools to handle life challenges better.
Adults: A lot can happen in live; grief, burnout, caregiving stress, medical trauma, and major life changes. Working together we can talk about things, understand some of your responses and plan for the future
Older Adults & Families: Aging brings it’s own set of challenges and some amazing benefits. From coping with health changes, dementia, caregiving roles, and shifting family dynamics, we can focus on your priorities .
I use somatic techniques to address both your thoughts and feelings by using techniques from trauma care, EMDR, narrative therapy and art therapy. We work together to find an approach that works for you.
Some of the areas that I specialize in are:
Grief, loss, and palliative care
Effects of anxiety, depression
Life changes and difficult situations
First responders
Stress, moral injury and burnout
Caregiver stress, dementia and aging
Medical trauma and chronic illness
Nervous system regulation and somatic support

What To Expect
Getting Started
Take advantage of a free 20‑minute phone or video consultation to meet and ask questions. Also check out FAQ for more information
First Session
We review confidentiality, talk about what brings you in, and build a plan. You decide how much you want to discuss. There’s no expectation to share everything at once. Direct billing is available for some insurance plans. Please ask for preauthorization before your session.
Moving Forward
Sessions focus on talking through what’s happening and using practical strategies to support regulation and meaningful progress. There are multiple ways of doing this, such as incorporating movement and other physical activities like drawing or painting to connect the brain and the body. This can help move through past trauma.
Trauma effects both our body and mind. Together we work to build a feeling of safety that allows you to work through the thoughts and emotions.
It’s not about finding what’s wrong with you, but what happened to you.
And then move forward
